Wonderful Ways to Get Amazing Arms

Toned arms are what many women would love to have. Unfortunately, it seems like they’re hard to get. Don’t fret--it is possible to get amazing arms with focus and dedication.

First of all, keep in mind that to get truly toned and amazing arms, you must work on reducing your overall body weight. When fat is present, it makes it harder to actually get to the muscle underneath. Cardio is a great way to work your body as a whole. By getting your heart pumping and breaking a sweat, you’re allowing your metabolism to burn those unwanted calories. On top of that, you build muscle, which helps reduce overall body fat. Diet also plays a huge part in losing and maintaining weight. Eating metabolism-boosting foods will keep you healthy and on track to reaching your ideal weight.

Another way to help reduce body fat is by drinking water. Water intake is very important if you wish to slim your shape or maintain the one you’re in.

Once you begin to live a life of physical activity and proper nutrition, you can incorporate exercises targeted towards those not-so-toned arms.

EXERCISES TO GET AMAZING ARMS

1. Dumbbell Raises for Shapelier Shoulders

Did you know that you could look younger just by shaping your shoulders? When your shoulders are strong, they improve posture—and better posture makes your waist and hips appear slimmer.

Here are two great exercises to make those shoulders sexy:

Lateral Raise

  • Hold a 5 lb dumbbell in each hand (palms facing in) and arms to your side
  • Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart
  • Make sure your back is straight and abs are contracted
  • Raise your arms, hold and then lower (3 sec to raise, 1 sec hold, 3 sec to lower)
  • Repeat

Front Raise

  • Hold a 5 lb dumbbell in each hand, with your arms hanging in front of your thighs (palms facing in)
  • Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and knees slightly bent
  • Make sure your back is straight and abs are contracted
  • Raise your arms, hold and then lower (3 sec to raise, 1 sec hold, 3 sec to lower)
  • Repeat

2. Dumbbell Curl and Press To Get Amazing Arms

This exercise is a great way to work multiple muscles at once. A curl and press will work the biceps, triceps, deltoids and forearms. This wonderful exercise is a great addition to any fitness regimen you already have in place.

Learn to Curl and Press With These Easy Steps:

  • Sit on a chair with your feet flat on the floor
  • Hold a 5 lb dumbbell in each hand; arms at your sides and palms forward
  • Keep your back straight and head forward
  • Slowly bend your elbows, curling the dumbbells toward your shoulders
  • Rotate wrists until palms are facing forward
  • Lift, or press, the weights over your head without locking your elbows
  • Pause for a count of 2, and then slowly lower the weights
  • Repeat

AMAZING ARMS: THE SKINNY ON MAKING THEM SKINNY

If possible, try to incorporate arm slimming and shoulder building exercises into your week at least 2 times. For optimum results, work your arms every other day until you achieve results. To prevent injury or muscle strain, avoid working the same muscles two days in a row. As you progress and build endurance, challenge yourself by increasing your reps.
